The Clubhouse
Training Center
All of our teachers create and run their own programs out of The Clubhouse, rather than having a house curriculum or form. We have some of the best programs for beginner improvisors to improvisors who have completed multiple improv programs and play all over the city. We have a robust slate of Musical Improv classes for every level taught by some of the best Musical Improv performers and teachers in town. Different classes pop up all the time for sketch, clown and writing, as well as special guests who come from New York and Chicago and more to lead special workshops from New York and Chicago. Two schools that started at the Clubhouse have left the nest and become their own individual theaters! You may also rent the Clubhouse spaces to teach classes and lead your own workshops.
Live Comedy
People from all over LA play at the Clubhouse. We have beginning teams who are trying to get their feet wet, as well as some of the most established and seasoned improvisors in the city playing regularly at the Clubhouse. Any night of the week you might see a group of students getting on stage for the first time, or an improv legend who’s been around forever. We also host readings and screenings and special events and fundraisers. We have well known comedians who come to the Clubhouse to work out new material. There is always something different going on at the Clubhouse and something for everyone. Whether you are an improv nerd or are just coming to see your friend’s one person show, the Clubhouse provides space for everyone and everything. Stop by and see what is on the schedule tonight!
